I was honored to be invited to be on a panel of judges for the Anchorage Press 2nd Annual Photo Contest! Two other judges and I spent a difficult but interesting evening pouring over hundreds of entries. The winners were displayed in the December 10th, 2008 issue of the Press; and there was a gala reception at Indigo, a modern furniture store in downtown Anchorage.

The contest was grouped into three categories: People, Places, and Things. Two winners for each category were chosen, with one image declared best of show. My fellow judges were local professional photographers Oscar Avellaneda, and Jamie Lang.
