I am happy to announce that my photograph, “20th Century Word Processor”,will be appearing in UK author Barbara Brownie’s upcoming book “The Typed Image”.

I am honored to be speaking at a meeting of the local ASMP (American Soc of Media Photographers) on the topic of ‘new media for photographers’. I will be on a panel along with pro photographers Oscar Avellaneda and Jamie Lang. We will be speaking about the use of social media and social networks as tools to promote our photography businesses.

If you’re in the Anchorage, AK area, you are invited to attend. The meeting will be held in the auditorium at the Anchorage Museum. Tuesday January 5th, 2010 at 7pm.

My photography entitled “Culinary Art” was used “Wet Ink”, an Australian magazine about new writers. I was contacted by writer, Jason Gent, who ended up being published in Vol 17 of Wet Ink.

I’m pleased to be returning to Taproot Cafe for a solo exhibition of my current black and white (mostly) film photographs. Please join me for the Taproot opening of “Framelines” on First Friday, December 4, 2009. Taproot is located on Huffman Rd between the Old and New Seward Highways in South Anchorage, AK. The framed photos are for sale and will be on exhibit through the month of December.

I will be joining Anchorage photographer, Ashley Mendenhall, in a collaborative exhibition of black and white photography. Our work will be on display through the month of November at Circular, an eco-chic boutique. “StAsh” (STeve/ASHley) is an exploration of our world by studying the human vs the inanimate.
